Preparation

  • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Form the ground beef into four equal patties, making a small indent in the center of each.
  • Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Cook the patties on the grill or skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, adding cheese on top during the last minute.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill until golden brown.
