  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend) Any melting cheese can work here.
  • 4 large tortillas You can use whole wheat tortillas for a healthier option.
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded Iceberg or romaine works well.
  • 1 medium tomato, diced Fresh tomatoes enhance flavor.
  • 1/2 medium onion, diced Red or yellow onions can be used.
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, diced Any color bell pepper can be used.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking the beef.
  • Sour cream and salsa for serving (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add ground beef. Cook until browned.
  • Drain excess fat, then add taco seasoning and a little water (as per packet instructions). Stir and let simmer for a few minutes.

Assembly

  • Lay out tortillas and evenly distribute the seasoned beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and bell pepper among them.
  • Roll up the tortillas tightly to form the wraps.

Cooking

  • In the same skillet, place the wraps seam-side down and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and the cheese is melted.

Serving

  • Serve warm with sour cream and salsa if desired.

Notes

Wraps can be customized with different proteins like turkey or chicken, and can be made in advance for meal prep.
