  • 1 recipe pizza dough Prepared in advance or homemade.

Toppings

  • 1 lb lean ground beef Cooked until browned.
  • 5-6 cups shredded mozzarella cheese About 622 grams.
  • ½ cup sliced dill pickles Chopped or whole, based on preference.
  • cup chopped onion Fresh or sautéed, to taste.

Sauce

  • ½ cup ketchup Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • cup yellow mustard Add more for extra tanginess.
  • tablespoons mayonnaise Use low-fat if desired.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • Roll or stretch the pizza dough onto a baking sheet or pizza stone and pre-bake it for about 6 minutes until slightly firm but not browned.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon until fully browned. Drain any excess grease and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise until smooth.

Assembly

  • Spread the sauce evenly over the pre-baked crust.
  • Sprinkle a light layer of mozzarella cheese, then top with cooked ground beef, chopped onion, and pickle slices.
  • Finish with the remaining mozzarella cheese.

Baking

  • Return the pizza to the oven and bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden around the edges.
  • Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing.
  • Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

This pizza is best served fresh. Pair with French fries or a refreshing salad. Offer dipping sauces like ranch or barbecue for extra flavor.
