Ingredients
  

For the caramel

  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 oz. butter, cut into small cubes
  • 1 cup sugar

For the milkshake

  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream, plus more for topping
  • 2 bananas
  • 4 tsp. caramel, plus for topping

Instructions
 

Preparation of caramel

  • In a saucepan, add the sugar and heat it. Once melted, turn on low heat and add the whipping cream. Stir and cook on medium heat, stirring constantly.
  • Once it starts to bubble, turn off the heat and set it aside to cool.

Preparation of milkshake

  • Blend the bananas, ice cream, and milk until smooth.
  • In 2 serving glasses, add 2 tsp. of caramel in each.
  • Pour the milkshake equally into the glasses and top with some extra ice cream and homemade caramel.

Notes

For an extra flavor boost, try using caramel infused with vanilla extract or add a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. You can also substitute vanilla ice cream with frozen yogurt for a lighter option.
