  • 0.5 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened almond milk or the milk of your choice
  • 0.25 cup vanilla yogurt regular or Greek
  • 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or your preferred sweetener, to taste
  • 1 pinch salt

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl or jar, combine the old-fashioned rolled oats and almond milk. Make sure the oats are fully submerged in the liquid.
  • Add the vanilla yogurt, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt to the oat mixture. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  • Cover the jar or bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

Serving

  • In the morning, take the jar or bowl out of the refrigerator. You can eat the oats cold or warm them in the microwave for about 30 seconds if you prefer.
  • Top your oats with fresh fruits, nuts, seeds, or granola as desired.

Notes

Store the overnight oats in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Experiment with different types of milk, toppings, and sweeteners to suit your taste.
