Cinnamon Sugar Coating

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon; whisk to blend.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined and smooth.
  • Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the donuts to cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Coating

  • In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon for coating.
  • Brush the warm donuts with melted butter and then roll each donut in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
