Ingredients

For the marinade

  • 3 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Main ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • Steamed rice or fresh vegetables for serving

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
  • Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably longer.
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cooking

  • Place the marinated chicken thighs on a baking sheet.
  • Roast in the oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Serve the chicken thighs hot with steamed rice or fresh vegetables.

Notes

For an extra touch, garnish the dish with green onions or sesame seeds. Marinate the chicken overnight for more intense flavor. Consider adding a splash of rice vinegar or lime juice for enhanced taste. Add vegetables directly to the baking sheet for a one-pan meal.
