  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

Filling

  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped

Toppings

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (for sprinkling)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for sprinkling)

Glaze

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and milk.
  • Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until combined.
  • Fold in the chopped apples.
  • Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

Topping

  • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  • Sprinkle half the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter.
  • Add the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar on top.
  • Swirl with a knife or skewer to create a marbled effect.

Baking

  • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • While cooling, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze.
  • Drizzle glaze over cooled bread.
  • Slice and enjoy!

To elevate your bread, consider experimenting with different apple varieties or adding nuts. If you're looking to reduce sugar, adjust the granulated or powdered sugar according to your taste.
