Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork) Use high-quality ground meat for better flavor.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Plain or seasoned breadcrumbs can be used.
  • 1 large egg Acts as a binder.
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped Adds flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Adds depth of flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping) Spread on top for added sweetness and tang.

Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on a parchment-lined air fryer basket.
  • Spread ketchup evenly on top of the loaf.

Cooking

  • Cook in the air fryer for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a meat thermometer (should reach 160°F or 70°C).
  • Allow the meatloaf to rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a comforting feel, serve the meatloaf with sides like mashed potatoes or a garden salad. Leftovers can be enjoyed cold or reheated.
